Description: An Aluminia Faience vase, with blue glaze. Designed by Nils Thorsson. The Aluminia Faience factory was founded by August Schlitt(1834-1863). In 1868 Philip Schou took over the factory and in 1882 bought the Royal Copenhagen Porcelain Manufactory and the two companies merged to one. Nils Thorsson took the facory into a new and final era in the period 1928-1969. Aluminia became Royal Copenhagen faience from 1969. Impressed mark to base.
